Introduction to TADHack

TADHack is the largest and longest running global hackathon focused on programmable telecoms / communications, since 2014. We run hackathons around the world over one weekend, for example this year before Network X in Sri Lanka, Colombia, Belgrade, multiple locations around Africa, and online (the comfort of your own home).

New companies have been founded based on hacks created at TADHack, for example Voxist from TADHack Paris 2015. People have achieved their dream job thanks to including winning hacks on the resume/CV. And every year we help developers around the world see the amazing things they can create with programmable communications/telecoms.

Review of shortlisted projects

Winners must hack on one or more of the sponsors' technologies. This year we have:

* Stacuity. Mobile connectivity for IoT;
* Jambonz. Open source CPaaS;
* Radisys. CPaaS enabler for telcos and a drag and drop development platform, for loads of communications resources;
* STROLID. vCon is the new global standard, a ‘PDF for conversations’; and

* DSF (Hedera). A decentralized, open-source, proof-of-stake public ledger.

We ask the hackers to solve problems that matter to them in the home, work and community life. They use the sponsors' resources to solve a bit of the problem and provide a 5 minute pitch on the problem, their solution, and a demo using the sponsors' technologies. We always advise hackers to mash-up the sponsors to increase their chances of winning.

Announcement of the winners

We'll only discover the TADHack Global 2023 winners on Monday 23rd October. The news will be hot-off the press as we share snippets of the winners' pitches and why the sponsors chose them.

Announcement of the next competition

On 23-24 March 2024 TADHack mini-Orlando will be the pre-conference hackathon for Enterprise Connect 2024, 25-28 March. We'll have an in person location at Valencia College in Orlando, and remote hackers from around the world.
