Oscar Gallego, Head of Home & Security Products, Vodafone Group
As part of Vodafone’s Global Technology team, Oscar Gallego is the executive in charge of Group’s consumer products, services, and devices in the areas of home and security. As part of his duties, he is responsible for all home devices including CPEs and IoT offering, end-customer services such as SecureNet, SuperWiFi, as well as leading innovation across Vodafone’s world-wide footprint.
Oscar joined Vodafone in 2009 has fulfilled senior management roles in both technology strategy and service deployment. Prior to that, Oscar worked for network providers such as Ericsson, NEC and Nortel across engineering and R&D roles.
Oscar’s current focus is on Home Platforms based on open ecosystem initiatives such as RDK and Prpl enabling both a better-connected experience as well as accelerating the delivery of innovative products to our customers at home.
In terms of industry activities, Oscar is part of the GSMA’s Technology Executive Group, as well as Vodafone’s executive sponsor both for Prpl and RDK.
Beyond his duties, Oscar is active advocate of gender equality and race inclusion at work, actively participating in several support initiatives and mentoring programs. Outside work, he enjoys his passion for family travel, tennis, and motorsport.
