Livia Rosu was elected President of the HomeGrid Forum in April 2021, with a carrier spanning 20 years dedicated to semiconductors and the standardization of revolutionary technologies ranging from Smart Cards to Smart Cities. Livia joined the HomeGrid Forum Board of Directors in 2014 as Marketing Chair and was instrumental supporting the connectivity and broadband rollouts of G.hn, ITU-T standard based multi-Gigabit technology. She led the call for Service Providers to unite forces for delivering end-to-end broadband connectivity to an ever-increasing portion of the world’s population, building a global ecosystem committed to Interoperability, Fiber extension and FWA extension architecture through strong collaboration among industry partners and technology innovators. In 2017 she joined MaxLinear, a leading provider of radio frequency (RF), analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits for access and connectivity, wired and wireless infrastructure, industrial and multimarket applications, where she is driving strategy and alliances landscape with system vendors, service providers and alliances for accelerating connectivity and broadband access deployments.
Holding a Master in Business Administration (MBA), a Master in Computer Science (MSc) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Engineering Degree in Network Automation and Computers, Livia Rosu built her career on a solid foundation of the telecommunications industry-wide collaboration framework. She previously served as Internet Business Development Officer and Head of External Relations for the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), establishing partnerships with key industry alliances and organizations, such as Broadband Forum (BBF), the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the IPv6 Forum. She also served as an active contributor with the European Commission committees in charge of open standards and protocols for the IP-connectivity, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Internet Society Advisory Council (ISOC-AC) and Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA).
In October 2022 she joined the prpl Foundation and was nominated Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee to support Service Providers enhancing the Smart Home Ecosystem with prpl values, committed to open-source and open-APIs in support of carrier-grade CPE.
