Michele Zarri graduated in telecommunications engineering at University of Pisa (Italy) and completed his studies at King’s College of London (UK). As Regional CTO of Mobilieum where he worked from 2020 to 2022, Michele was responsible for the migration of roaming value added services to 5G of the European customers as well as supporting the design of new products. From 2015 to 2020, Michele has served as technical director in GSMA where he worked on advanced 4G technologies (IMS, VoLTE, IoT, broadcasting) and leading the GSMA 5G projects including Network Slicing, Fixed Wireless Access, 5G deployment models. Michele has also delivering 5G training to 300+ regulators globally and to GSMA employees. Prior joining the GSMA Michele worked for Deutsche Telekom where he accrued more than 15 years of experience in standardization of mobile technologies. During this period Michele served as chairman of working groups both in 3GPP (SA1) and GSMA (RILTE). Michele started his career in the research and development team of Fujitsu working on adaptive antennas and physical layer of WCDMA. He has authored several patents.
